Overview of Results

I have always had an interest in learning more about myself and how I work. For instance, when I was younger, I delved into learning more about myself through the mystic revelations of Astrology. Therefore, when I saw that I was being asked to perform these “self-inventories” I happily leapt at the chance and was pleasantly surprised to confirm pieces of myself through these inquiries. All of the tests I took, painted, what I thought to be, a mostly accurate portrait of my personality, the way I behave and the way I think.

The test that I really thought captured many different aspects of myself quite well was the Jungian psychology-based Briggs-Myers typology test. It revealed me as being an ENTP personality type which is a highly extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceptive personality type that can excel in the sciences or management. Thankfully, I have already chosen a career path where I could possibly be involved in both. Furthermore, there appears to be potential for me to be an educator, perhaps a nurse educator (?). What was perhaps even more compelling through researching myself, is that the examinations correlated with one another via certain key words and phrases I discovered through the perusal of their summaries.

Moving into the future, I see the potential of utilizing the results of the tests taken here to further develop my strengths and to help guide me on my career path. Of course, tests like these have their limitations to the finer aspects of our psyches. However, they may have value for those people who are not introverted and prone to constant self-scrutiny, so they too may be able to divine deeper insights into behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects which have the potential to affect the degree to which one is, or is not, successful in life. Ironically, although it may be a less than scientific source of knowledge, the information l here supported much of the self-discovery I had from the early astrological studies of my sun sign… really!
