If you have never learned online before, it can be a very different experience. The very first thing you need to do is make sure you thoroughly read and understand this course to help you utilize Canvas to the best of its ability. At the bottom of the page is a Table of Contents that will help you find important topics quickly.

Some tips for successful online learning:

Don't procrastinate. No matter how easy or how daunting an assignment might seem, getting started on it right away is the best way to succeed.
Have a quiet place to work. This may be tough, especially if you have family around or don't have internet access in your home. If you live close to one of the campuses, make note of the campus's library hours, as there are always quiet areas with internet access available there.
Visit the course modules page. This sounds elementary but we find that students who solely depend on the Canvas app and the activity feed and miss important course materials found under the modules section of the course.
Log in every day and do something until your weekly module is complete. Steady progress toward your goal is the best way to succeed at anything.
Make sure you have a good internet connection. If you don't have internet at home, you might need to get creative and go to a local spot that does have free Wi-Fi. Options include many coffee/snack shops, libraries, shopping centers, and big box stores. More information on this and other resources are under the FAQs and virtual resources at cf.edu.
