Leadership was one of my favorite courses since there is so many leadership styles. It was one of the discussion posts I was able to get into the most. Managers have a lot of responsibilities inside and outside, a leader that can function well in balancing both responsibilities are a great leaders. My past director in a medical/surgical unit, was always helping staff and answering call lights in the busiest hours of the morning. My current director will walk around the unit asking if we need anything. Last week, my director not only brought a patient from the waiting room, but also started protocols and dressed the patient since I had an extremely sick ICU patient in another room. I really felt the love that day, and little things like that makes me feel happy to work there.
