WORK EXPERIENCE

Present              ICU Supervisor

 Directly overseeing and coordinating the daily running of a 30 bed Intensive Care Unit, comprised of surgical, cardiac and medical ICU patients.  Responsible for nursing assignments, scheduling, counseling, quality control, assessments and coordination with the Emergency department, Post anesthesia unit and Admissions to facilitate flow through the ICU. I respond to all code blue calls and head the Rapid Response Team.The ICU received five consecutive Beacon Awards during my tenure as ICU Supervisor. 

                       Rapid Response

Clinical Expert, responsive to calls from families, nurses and physicians needing assistance at the patient bedside in the rapid evaluation and stabilization of their patients in distress. I facilitate care to alleviate further deterioration of the patients' condition and triage to a higher level of care if needed. I also teach and coach and assist nurses throughout the facility with special procedures, treatments and areas they are unfamiliar with.
