RN- Munroe Regional Medical Center – Ocala FL
12/2015 – Present
I am currently working on the Women’s Surgery floor at my local hospital. Although a special skill set, much of the foundation is Med-Surg based. We primarily take all C-sections following delivery, overflow vaginal deliveries, fetal demises, ectopics, and a variety of female surgeries. Since I have had med-surge based experience , if the ED gets slammed, which it often does, I will take a group of medical patients in the back hall, which can range from all sorts of medical conditions. As a couplet care nurse, I have had lactation assistance training, as well as post partum hemorrhage training, and NRP ( Infant Resuscitation) certification.

Caring for 6-7 patients is a regular shift assignment. Have been exposed to many medical experiences because most of the patients who suffer a fracture, or need a replacement, usually have coexisting problems. Since starting I have been privileged to not only have ortho patients but oncology, renal, neurological, cardiac, ICU, and pediatric patients as well.
